Copywriting for the web
I am always encouraging my clients to think about communications before diving into the design and development of their web site. So many of the companies I see have little understanding and appreciation for the power of good marketing. It gets frustrating and much more time consuming to try to build a website that lacks a clear message, clear calls to action and content that is directed to the user. It is my continuing crusade to get clients to slow down and think more carefully about what they want to say and how they want to say it. I wrote a short article about copy writing for the web that seems to help.

Introducing Web Designer Mike Robinson
This is my first entry so it is only appropriate that I introduce myself and my intentions with this blog. I am the owner operator of a small web design agency outside of Philadelphia, PA in Downingtown, PA called Mainline Media. I have been in marketing, design and web development for over 15 years and in that time have developed some very strong ideas about how to create the most effective and efficient print and web marketing campaigns. Through this blog I hope to impart some of my experience, raise some interesting questions and share some funny anecdotes about the marketing ad design industry. I hope you like it!
